"Company paid type-ratings" - ha. Did a Delta guy teach you that?

I stand corrected - nice list of some improvements I hope we can secure. For the time being though, I'll take our rigs and line bidding over what you listed above. Those are the real drivers of QOL, not the company paying $30 a month for my parking. A lot of that stuff will come in he next contract (some of it was in the failed TA).

Can anyone explain how SWA's travel benefits works with a significant other who's not a spouse? Does my girlfriend have to live with me (i.e., domestic partner)? Or can I just designate one person as my significant other? Is it an easy process to change if we break up? I plan to have my profile picture for tinder/match just be a pic of a companion ticket.
You just designate them. It can be your girlfriend, gay lover, or just a college bro from the frat house.
If it is anything like getting a family member on, it can be changed by calling our jobs program of a pass office and submitting paperwork in triplicate to them (sign the puce copy, leave the goldenrod blank), calling them 9 times, and finally having them refer you to somebody in another department.
Still not sure why in the age of id90 and electronic employee travel, we still have a pass office. Oh, wait, that's right, I still have to submit my request 3 months in advance for paper buddy passes that expire in a year and mail them to family members so I can become their full time travel agent because they can't wake up early enough to take the empty flight.
Somehow we can list buddy passes online but they have to obtain the actual paper document from us prior to flying. Oh yeah, and if the CSR takes one too many coupons from the pass like they did from my daughter when she was flying with a friend to Orlando, there isn't anything you can do to rectify that short of sending them another pass. Great system, but at least they are free (sorta kinda).

I am no cheerleader, but in the name of complete transparency, we actually have a lot of that stuff. Bravo on the recent contract that you guys approved, though. Wish we could come to an agreement with our management as easily as you guys did. Unfortunately, so far it has been like squeezing blood (mostly bad blood) from a turnip.

Our insurance went up a lot over the last couple of years with the ObamaCare Cadillac tax looming. I have traditional coverage in a high deductible plan (regular traditional has roughly the same rates) and pay about $325 for my family ($425 -$100 non smokers credit). Some of the employee groups that have not settled on a contract yet have much lower rates. I know pilots married to flight attendants that use the flight attendant plan. There are a lot of other HMO/PPO style plans that cost somewhat less but I am unfamiliar with those (my wife is a doctor and doesn't want to go through a gate keeper). The dental plan is traditional and is pretty good ($32/month). There are a few other HMO style options with dental also.
