Southwest Hiring Info 2016
#582
I heard a rumor of another newhire leaving to go to UAL. Of course we all know how the rumor mill works, but it got me thinking... How many people are using SW as a "safety school" and bailing for a legacy if the opportunity arises?
You would think that SWAPA would have those metrics, but I haven't seen anything. Many of my friends say that they are waiting to apply at SW until they see how their applications at the legacies pan out. So what say you?
Come and stay? Wait and see? Or come and bail if you get the chance?

You should call them for training specifics and cost, but I am betting they will be a 10-14 day course.
My suggestion would be the cheapest one (tuition, airfare, & hotel) because they all provide the same stamp on your FAA certificate.

Thanks Hoover... this sounds like what my source (phx FO) was describing, but clearly you have a better source.

On another note. Has your fair attendance led to an interview invite yet? Fingers crossed for you

Nope. But a buddy of mine who went to NGPA as his first job fair got the invite last week. So your mileage may vary. He does not have the type either. Good luck to you as well!
