Looks like about 25 new hires, every two weeks or so.
Junior bases (out of class) continue to be Oakland and now Phoenix... However any base with the exception of Atlanta and Orlando should be attainable in the first few months.
I was hired over the summer, and shouldn't be on reserve more than another month or two.

Recent hire, class date April 6. I also got my 737 type from CPT in Miami. I think the training might be more "comprehensive" at HP (maybe not), but I do recommend CPT as an affordable way to get that ticket punched. Was treated well and used the Boeing sims at MIA during normal hours.
I was probably the youngest and least experienced in my interview group, and I think having the type made a difference in me getting the interview. While not required, if you are serious about SWA, it can't hurt. I used part of my Post 9/11 GI Bill.
Excited to be joining the team!

Buddy of mine went to NGPA and said the line to see the SWA recruiters was nearly non-existent. That everyone was in line for UAL and a few others. Not sure if he was exaggerating, but if it was true, I guess I should have made the drive up to Palm Springs that day!

It certainly was shorter than others. I waited 30 minutes for SWA while others waited 5 plus hours for United
