Thanks in advance.
FWIW, I brought hard copies of all my LOR's, some internal and a couple from current and a former commander, and handed them in at the interview. I also had some current SWA pilots do recs on swalife. But, I didn't scan and upload any or put in employee numbers on the app. From what I understand, it doesn't matter how they get the LOR's (paper or pdf), they count the same, and aren't looked at until after the interview.

If that happens, you can throw out all growth and upgrade projections. Not trying to be a downer, just trying to keep it real.
Which happens to be one of my biggest fears here at Southwest. Unfortunately regardless of the fact of how bad the AirTran merger went I feel as though another merger is the quickest, cheapest, and easiest way for us to grow to where they want us to be.

Other than the pay cut going to a regional, is it better to continue building tpic in corporate or to get some 121 experience anywhere I can?
FWIW, I have 8300TT...all civilian. 1200 of that is 121 time. Most of my time is 91/135 time with 4200 PIC jet time. I've been trying for years to get hired at a major and have only ever gotten a few TBNT e-mails. :/ Just have to keep trying!

Then you must cringe a lot as it's SOP at SWA.

Here's another 737 taking off. Pretty much the same as every other 737 for the last 50 years. Nothing ground breaking here. But, since it's not called "737RJ" I'll call it a win.

Default Sign up for type rating

Scheduled a type rating today with HPA. I have VA benefits that I need to use and figured it couldn't hurt. Based on the home study info I received it's going to be a firehose course.

All time is military (Army):
1550 TPIC (Kingair, Shorts)
6000+ Turbine rotorcraft
3300 Instructor

I figure I need all the help I can get!

I promised I search a big part of the previous 326 page thread but was curious about real take home pay first year and what schedules look like on reserve and lines? How much does insurance run for a family?

Not really about the TA, but not worth starting a new thread for: when do you get your schedule for the following month? Trying to let the wife know how much notice she'll have to plan for child care each month.
