14/15 days off for rsv

1 tfp ~ $1.15hr so yes 80tfp ~ $92hr

BWI/HOU - typical new hire can hold by month 3. Every now and then a handful get them right out of the gate, but not likely.

If you don't use co medical you get an extra $50/month

I'm not too well versed in disability so I'll pass on that one. We have only seen a handful of bulletpoints so far but I believe it will easily pass based on my initial impressions.
I've been on reserve 3 months and have only gone over guarantee one month. With our reserve rules it's hard to go over unless they really need you. The closer you get to passing the guarantee the less you'll fly. If you don't want to work on your days off (and you only get 3 off at a time) you won't go over.

Stitches thanks for your response !! Hoover where are you on reserve at and where do you want to be ? BWI would have 10 flights a day that I could commute on (almost hourly). I think without long call that's the best one could hope to have regarding commute vs living in base. Thoughts with the type of reserve you have experienced ?

No disrespect Hoover, as that's been your experience but not mine. While you approach your reserve guarantee so does every other reserve in your seat/base. During the summer at least, you WILL break guarantee.

Make sure you're trying to drop every RSV day possible so they end up paying you on block flown.

I didn't break RSV guarantee for July or Aug. 4 days not used in July and 6 last month. I'm a pass, live in base and pick up on days off to get higher credit. Did 112 in July and 123 for Aug.

Got a blank with 19 off and 102 tfp for Sept so will add a couple days for 2nd yr pay and enjoy the other 15-16 off.

Is a "blank" a line ? How many days off did you end up with in July / Aug for you to credit 112 / 123 ? If the AIP is implemented, would you have been credited 6TFP on the RSV days you were not used ? Seems like a huge improvement if so ? What's your base and if one had 10 flights a day into base (CLT-BWI)) would picking up days be easy to plan for, or are they normally last minute and living in base is the only viable way to pick up ? Lots of questions, but it seems that at SWA vs AA one could earn much more as a FO. Thoughts ?

A blank line is essentially a vacation relief line. It is made up of trips pulled in overlap, vacation overlap, and military. You bid second round.
The AIP allegedly has pay per day. It is a huge improvement.
Yes, if you have an easy and frequent commute, there are plenty of opportunities to pick up extra. I am a commuter and fly 130ish a month and generally have 15 days off or more depending on the month.

Like Whackmaster said, you gotta make sure you're dropping those extra Reserve days. Your basically sitting for free brother if they don't use you on those days. Don't ever leave money on the table if you don't have to.

I second that. Get rid of as much reserve as you possibly can and pick up flying to augment if you need to. Under our current system, knowing your RPT vs reserve guarantee and how it is going to play out for you is key.
I always put last days of a reserve block in giveaway if I wasn't being used. I would also give my reserve away to someone who lives in base and extra fly a trip I had already been assigned right before report. Little things like this can make your month a whole lot better.

I was able to give or trade away most of my reserve flying for trips. I didn't care what the trips were, because then I could trade those or ELITT them (trade with company) for better ones.

I'm on blanks now, and do the same if I have a reserve block.

For AA folks, think composite lines. Many have a bit of reserve mixed in.

I've almost never been under 100 TFP.
