I've had flights assigned the previous day but not 24hrs in advance. They can still change last min and can be taken from you up until you check in.
You can't move reserve days. You can try and trade them, but in my experience that's basically impossible.
On reserve it's really hard to be able to control your schedule except for bidding. Even then there are very few weekday reserve lines.
There is a preference choice for flying reserve but since reserves get used so much it doesn't make much of a difference. Basically it's the last thing scheduling looks at.

They'll assign Monday's open time to rsv or open time bidders at 9 am Central tomorrow. Then if someone calls off they put it in a open time bid that closes at x time and spin a wheel to see if a rsv or premium bidder gets it (at least that's how I imagine it going down). So you could know what you're doing around 9:30 central the day before.
I'm on my 5th day this month of doing nothing on rsv, but I'm at home so not complaining.

still haven't heard anything. a little disappointed because if you were planning on going you would have to schedule around it. if i hadnt been on this forum i would have thought that was my invite and probably showed up, very frustrating.

Don't think it went to everyone... my app is on file and I did not receive one, and I believe there were many others here that didn't receive one as well.
