No way dude. Unless they're sitting reserve (which I'd still be doing at SWA) My highest month at SWA was 130 trips. I just worked 100 hours at my new airline and took home almost 2 k more after taxes- PLUS the additional 12-1500 $ in direct retirement contribution.
AND I save close to 500$ A month because I don't have to buy food, get reimbursed for dry cleaning, and my parking is paid for.

I enjoyed my time at SWA, but it is nowhere near what I have at my new airline.

And I'll add there are a significant amount of people leaving-3 SWA guys in my newhire class at my new airline.

I guess you're right. Clearly I'm fudging the numbers.

***note I was lying in my previous post because Ditka says so***

So, you're a new hire with 17 days off a month and fly 3 days that pay 25tfp. Take and screen shot of your board and post it here. You can do it without showing your name or employee number.

I didn't vote on that just for clarification as I wasn't on property yet. I do find it ridiculous and insulting that they'd send us on a 10 hour duty day with no crew meals and then have the audacity to ask us not to leave the aircraft during the international turn. Kiss my a$$, Muffin Man.

yeah I don't buy it that you're smoking your legacy friends...unless they're sitting reserve at 70x hours a month and you're cashing 125 TFP a month
Then again, 2 year upgrade at Delta compared to 15 will more than make up the difference...and then again guys are sitting reserve less than 2 weeks in junior bases at the legacies.

And did I say you were lying? no, I said there was no way you were smoking them and gave my own numbers as proof.

Understood.......

Folks like to point the finger at management for the stuff we complain about, but, we did it to ourselves.

Southwest Airlines can be summed up as follows

It's a regional airline for better pay

Work your balls off, hot and stinky old airplanes, crappy hotels and a management team that hired randy Babbitt to try and find a 50.1% solution. Any questions?

Gents,

I start class in roughly 10 days. I'm not typed…any advice on how well to know the info that Rocky sends out? Also, I didn't get an FOM or anything like that; basically i'm wondering how "prepared" should I come to class (if that makes sense)

You have been on property less than a year. You're a new hire. Stop acting like you have 17 days off and you cherry pick premium when you feel like it.
