Get the degree. If you were a part 121 DE, or in management I'd say you *may* have a shot without it. While I think a fractional gig is valuable, and your experience would be valued, the field is just too competitive right now.

Check airman credentials will greatly increase your competitiveness, with or without the degree. Get in school for sure, but while you're doing that a check pilot position will definitely increase your chances of landing an interview while working on the degree.
