I saw something that said about a 65% success rate.

Thanks. I guess I'm trying to feel a little less nervous.

Don't be nervous. Go with the mindset that you are interviewing them too. If they don't meet your requirements for an airline employer you could choose not to accept their offer. The other majors are recruiting as well and in many cases offer superior compensation and benefits and a much faster upgrade. Many pilots have declined the offer. So go with confidence! You'll be great!

Really? Aren't most of those guys in their late 50's to early 60's? I have flown with one and I now our training center is now infected with them, but a new hire?

Wow dude, I try to throw some info out there to facilitate some understanding about why fighter types don't have thousands of hours and you come back with this? I even made an attempt to show that I'm not trying to show up with an entitled and cocky attitude.

Best of luck to you with that attitude.

Many mil types are coming over to the airlines because they are tired of the military. We're happy to be here and I think the vast majority are going to be easy to fly with. Both civ and mil types need to ditch the attitudes.

I will say (somewhat hesitantly) that the fighter guys will help their own cause by leaving the callsign behind when they come to the airlines. Use the name your Mom gave you. Don't worry, you'll still be just as awesome.

If that doesn't convince you, watch this serious documentary on the topic...
