if management knows this...why would they ever truly "negotiate?" how would you ever get the max possible contract?

I do many things for others, all the time that they will never know about. I want no credit nor ever care to be recognized for these things. It does not matter if it is Christmas or any other day of the year. Lets please not use the fact you think you are more of a humanitarian to strengthen you argument.
Why argue about points not in discussion.
Just saying

Call the ramp and taxiway what you like. I personally will be going thru MDW today and I will be looking for some extra motivation to get my fluff moving faster. Who knows? Maybe one of our cat ranchers has lost a few.
BTW 80 kts. You have been using the term "hate" in your last few posts. This thread uses the term dislike. I believe there was another thread that had many responses and used the term hate. I even believe some on APC should revisit that thread because I am feeling the hate.

I agree with much of what you wrote, but:
Define long? I've got 18 hours in SJU tomorrow, but I typically try to maximize my pay per commute, which usually results in shorter layovers of around 12-14 hours. There are plenty of longish layovers if you want to sacrifice some productivity. i want as much $$$ as I can squeeze into my work days. If I want a vacation, I'll take one on my days off.
Not 45 days in a row, but I am currently on my second day back of a 4 day "vacation interruptus" trip, after 53 days off in a row. After this minor setback, I am off for another 24 days. I could've given away this trip and made it 80 days of vacation in a row, but, as hard as it was to do, I figured I could drag my butt in for ONE trip in almost 3 months.
- vacation system doesn't afford long vacations - anyone ever get 45 days off in a row?

Dude seriously. Do you ever pay any attention? SWAPA have been the ultimate in constructive engagement for YEARS, and they are the ones that you and others hold up as being the gold standard. Ask any of these guys what the biggest pay increase they've gotten in the last 20 years, and then go try to sell that over on L&G. You and 88Driver will be setting cars on fire on Va Ave if dALPA proposed anything close to what they've done in that period of time.
