Someone posted (post #280) that he spoke with someone that was offered an interview the week of March 17-21. I interviewed mid Jan and we were told that the last group of interviews this time around were going to be the third week of Jan. until possibly late this year. Maybe that's not the case anymore??? I do know they have very recently reinstated a new hire class for April 2nd that was originally scratched for whatever reason. Maybe they decided they are going to need more new hires than originally anticipated.

Ground school from start to finish is about six weeks including sims. We worked on two Saturdays and had two full weekends off. The last ten days is the sim and you'll probably get one day off while in the sim phase. You can do whatever you want in your free time. They pay for your room for the entire time you're in training. You also have to do at least four Jumpseat observation rides. Many of us used this opportunity to go home on the weekend. If you want to go home, have at it, as long as you make it to class Monday morning. If something is going on at home training will work with you to come up with a solution. For example, a classmate's wife was really sick and couldn't get out of bed, they shifted some of his schedule to allow him to stay home and take care of his wife/kids. He still finished training on time. All in all a very positive training experience.
