Wow.. and they are the only ones so far confirmed at the FAPA job fair in May. Why attend if no plans to hire more?

We were told in the Jan interview that the 260 was just to get caught up and that it was likely that they would have to hire more this year.

Do the math, guys.

There are 1,200 ATN guys left to train. The training department has stated multiple times they can handle 100 per month.

Anyone who gets an offer now is looking at the pool until Feb of next year.

There is NO pool. The 260 are being trained NOW. Estimates put it at about 70-90 remaining.

We were told 3 years ago that as a result of a lawsuit; a hiring pool is no longer allowed. Fwiw

Any predictions of future Interview Invites? If so, would they re-open a new window?

As usual, there's a bunch of stuff going on in the training department that defies normal math.

For example: We can't train AT guys fast enough...but we can hire and train more new guys than anyone projected.

And as far as I can tell, they really didn't need to hire anyone because of 117 rest restrictions. By my unscientific methods of observation I think 75% of us can work more under the new rules than the old. Only the dudes who were maxing out at 100/30 and 1000/yr are being held back.

So *** is going on here? Chuck's video already alluded to record A/C ute rates for the summer, even though there's zero extra flying right now.

You may be correct here. To add flavor, there is always the thought that the new hires are cheaper than premium over the summer. If airlines could hire seasonally they would. CM also addressed this in the recurrent video when he discussed being overstaffed in the usual lean months and STILL understaffed this summer. As you mentioned, due to a/c ute. Hopefully they have something that continues the current positive macro vibe
