I interviewed today and I'm pretty sure they mentioned something about an initial class starting on 4 Feb.

A friend was just hired and when he talked to the folks in the People Dept, they told him to expect 19 Feb. He was told that was the next class.

Compared to others out there, are the odds of a call to interview greater with a near term availability? I think some at other carriers are getting calls to interview with availability 6+ months out, but not sure about SWA? It seems the timeline from interview to starting class is around 3 months. Can anyone comment on this? I applied back in Sept and haven't heard a thing, but perhaps maybe that's not so bad since I haven't received any TBNT email for my app.

I believe SWA is trying to fill classes through April. I haven't heard of any sort of pool. So, I'm guessing if you aren't available by April you'll probably not hear anything until the next round of hiring which could be soon! The rumor is interviews will be done this week. If no TBNT I'd expect they will be calling you for an interview next round. Good luck!

This is probably depending on if you have the 737 type? Im assuming theyre not hiring ANYONE without one if the class dates are so soon, theres not enough time to go out and get one, right?

Does your friend have any intel if that means there is NO 4 Feb class, or if that date is already full, and 19 Feb is the one that follows it?
