As for the rest of the pie in the sky bullschit that you're all spewing, let me say this:
We had a 99% YES to authorize a strike vote with an over 98% participation rate. I've done a lot of union work in my past especially in that department and feel confident that we would have gotten the contract we did or better with or without this screwj......I mean merger happening.

That level of unity is more than can be said for SWAPA pilots.
It'll be interesting to see what happens when the company just flat out refuses to give anything other than flattish (which is what is happening).
WRT accepting the first POS, I mean AIP.......let me get this straight. You wanted me to vote YES on an agreement where I lost 33% relative seniority and four years date of hire?
I didn't want was this acquisition and I certainly didn't want any friggin' scabs inserted in front of me on the list.
I didn't get what I wanted either.
You are completely out of your effing minds. Maybe, MAYBE if my company was about to fold but certainly not under the circumstances at the time.
How to even reason with you idiots?! Sure, I'll be happy to lose a third of my relative seniority and four years from DOH. Where do I sign up?
You're out of your minds.

Who's out of their mind?
None of us wanted this fiasco either, which I fear will prove to be (another) nail in the coffin of what was once a great job.
Thanks Gary!

Hey SlipKid, I'm going to let this thread drift back to what it was originally intended for and ask that others do the same. I stand by my viewpoints, but there's really no point in polluting this thread any further as we'll never agree on the situation. Adios.

Irrelevant.
What WERE your rates on 9/27/10, the day the acquisition was announced? When did you miraculously get your current rates, and if they were so bad, why did you accept them post 9/27?[/QUOTE]
We were told we would be on SWA wages within a year to 18 months.

I'm not sure why I was quoted, because I was on 100% SW for over 15 years before this nightmare started.
But I agree that their MEC should be the ones taking the blame, as they're the ones that gave way the pay, Capt seats etc., yet we still get blamed for it.
