As sept 5th 2013, The 717s will be parked before 2015. Thats according to the letter from SW to the DOT. I don't like it either.

I like it as long as they don't furlough. Should only be about 300 pilots or so. Hopefully I won't experience my 3'rd furlough in the last 8 years.

They haven't yet. Always a first, though. They would have to furlough pretty deep to get to any AT pilots...

How deep? BEFORE any newhires are on property.

All the new hires at SWA would be furloughed before any pilot who was at AirTran at the time that SWA announced that they were buying them. However I firmly believe that Gary doesn't want to destroy Herb's legacy by being the first SWA to actually furlough.

And the opposite is true for the captains wives. From talking to a few friends who already transitioned, I'm looking at around a $40K hit.
