Why can't you guys?

Continue fighting amongst yourselves.

And for the record, the often parroted "$30k paycut" is ALPA bull****.
Really?! Bull**** huh? Top FO pay per TFP at SW is $133 at 12th year. This December, 12th year AT Cptn pay will be $175/hr. Still can't see how most of our Cptns have taken a paycut? Let's not even consider the fact that some of our Cptns. were on 13th, 14th, or 15th year longevity pay of which there is none at SW and obviously makes the pay cut even greater.

Resume insertion of head in the sand........

No, you're obviously not. Or, you suck at math.

I'm unaware of it and would love to see the results. Can you post the info gathered?

Why don't you take up a collection from the AT FO's who got a $60/hr (pre-aquisition contract) / $35/hr (post-aquisition contract) raise when they crossed the partition? None of them seem to be upset! Alway good to skew the data by not bringing up the pre-acquisiton AT Capt maxed-out rate of $152/hr which compares well with the current maxed out SWA FO rate of $151/hr--but $133 TFP sounds so much better to further your agenda.

Pay raise given to any SWA pilot as part of this deal = ZERO - but for a few hundred out of 6,000 pilots who got an early upgrade.

AT Capt maxed-out rate of $152/hr
Where do you morons come up with this crap? Add about $30 to that then do your math.

Pay cut? No problem. The math doesn't lie.

Let's see: $174 * 75 * 12 = $156,600
$133 * 87 * 12 = $138,852

This is the minimum. And that's assuming anyone works for 75 hours---which they didn't until recently.

At 81.5 hours of flying the difference is----ready?----$30,000. Real dollars. Real pay cut for Airtran captains.

Of course our FOs get a healthy pay raise once crossing over. Goes without saying.

I don't however appreciate the insinuation that we should chock up our pay raise (contract being settled) to the acquisition.

Tell ya what, why don't we take up a collection from your upgrades instead seeing that they're upgrading DIRECTLY because our Cptns are downgrading. Isn't that more fitting?

The max rate used to be $152.50/hr before we got our new contract. That was for a 12 year Cptn. With the new contract, come December the 12 year AT Cptn scale will be $175/hr and I believe the 15 year pay will be $187/hr (someone correct me if I'm wrong on the last part.

Certainly the AVERAGE SW pilot gets paid more TFP on average per month than the average AT pilot gets paid hours BUT, SW TFP rates are significantly lower than AT hourly rates and that is where the paycut comes in.

To insinuate that this whole screw job hasn't been a paycut for our downgrading Cptns is as ridiculous as saying that the pain is "shared" on both sides of the fence.

Very true, but we still need to continue to set the record straight on this forum.
