I'm on the same side of the partition, killer . . . And if you and I are here long enough for you to be my CA . . . well, then we'd probably be the last two pilots on the property.

You're senior to me, so don't forget to turn out the lights on your way out.
D'ho!

Sorry Max, got you confused with 2nd Rate...er...I mean 4th Level.

Nice.

ALL I've ever tried to convey is that there is pain on both sides and we need to get along personally.

Your post only serves to confirm the vitriol coming from your ilk on the AT side is so spring-loaded, you even assassinate those on your side.

Classy.

I'll still buy the drinks on the overnight. Peace out.

Your CBA has a 100% chance of changing going forward, my seniority does not. If history is any guide, you guys will eventually give concessions, if not Gary will take them. Right now he's saying "flattish". Next time it might be different. BTW, when I do get to re-upgrade, after I take a significant pay cut, I'll be going from my $185/hr AT rate to what? Like $210/hr? Not exactly "whopping" in my opinion.
How long has that $185/hr been in effect? 1 year maybe 2?

Your "Critter" wages were given to you as soon as the company was sold knowing that "SWA" would be footing the bill. You guys didn't come anywhere close to $185/hr before you were acquired.

I've sat back and listened to you guys ***** and moan for long enough. Let the truth be told.

P.S. I know my above post does nothing to unify "OneLuv" but I'm growing tired of hearing how great you guys had it at AirTran. Face it, you were acquired and someone moved your cheese. I get it, it sucks, but living in the past serves no purpose. Time to turn the page.

Let the truth be told? YHGTBKM.

December 2010, BTW for the new CBA. Top of the CA scale in the old CBA was $162 (12 yr, current is 15yr). Not a tremendous jump.

No one claims it was awesome at ATN, just that so far and in comparison for ATN CAs, it sucks at SWA.

Go back to lurking. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I cannot wait for the rest of the AirTran pilots to come over to the SWA side. Really.

I have flown with a good number of the AirTran transitional pilots and all were awesome and extremely professional.

Most of us are just line pilots, lets move on.

SWAPA pilots hate it just as much as ATN pilots do. Most of us are getting over it and trying to move forward.

Yes, I know. We've been through this a million times before. Bottom line was that neither SWAPA nor ATN-ALPA had much leverage in these negotiations. SWA held all the cards....accept that fact or take effective action in managing the future of your career (Hint: whining on an airline forum is not effective action in managing your career).

Show me where they're skewed? Keep in mind my comments were addressed to WM, specifically. While I do not know his ATN DOH or upgrade date, my only point has been that when he chooses to cross over and become a SWA FO, he will not have to take a paycut. If he has such a colossal ego that he cannot handle being an FO again, then that is his problem to resolve....can't help him there. If he is one of those 1994-2001 ATN captains you reference, then he will not be a SWA FO for very long, and will enjoy a whopping pay RAISE come 2015. If he's a very junior ATN captain, he probably won't be able to hold captain at SWA for quite a while. That's where my earlier comment about YOUR MEC and MC's role is directed: If they had not grossly overplayed their hand and told SWA to pound sand after the first AIP, WM's captain seat would have had a MUCH greater chance of being saved. Now, it is what it is....
Let's just say that my upgrade date was BEFORE the SWA FOs I'm now grouped with on the master seniority list were even hired at SW! How's that for a @(*& job?

For the record, being a SW FO is a pay cut. The numbers don't lie no matter how the "real" SW pilots try to justify or skew it.

Gimme a break.....

Whack - we all got hosed one way or another, on both sides of the partition.

You can ***** and moan, not many people are going to listen. The company (fill in whatever company you work for) will do what they want. Until you go high up the ladder on the management side, not much you can do.

Just come over and join the 520 club. I get paid on the 5th and 20th.

Please do not blow a gasket......

Whack,

I think that he meant all got hosed but SWA captains and senior SWA FO's (who are conveniently upgrading as AirTran pilots transition). Obviously he isn't talking about every AirTran/former AirTran pilot on both sides of the partition. He nor any other SWA pilot on here can tell anyone how SWA captains whether now or future (due to demoted AT captains) got hosed. Have fun explaining that one Orion
