Any chance on them ever dropping the PIC requirement? Most legacies don't require, although your chances of getting on with some PIC is much better.

Any truth to rumors of recently hired/current pilots leaving to other majors? How that may affect hiring practices?
Additionally, can obtaining HPA type present advantage over other schools i.e. network opportunity, etc?

A January 2014 hire just resigned to go to Delta. He lives in ATL and would not be able to hold that domicile for many years at SW. For him it was simply a decision based on at which company he was more likely to maximize time at home with the family.

Does SW have an internal board where the union posts statistics like this?

Show me the money,

We had a client leave SWA recently for AA. I believe he was from an AA base.

Yeah that's it ! I'm going to fork out 7500 for a type rating I can get for free at any other airline to be a perma-FO at SWA.

Sorry to rain on your parade but SWA's time at the top is over and on the fast track to the bottom of the food chain.

Herb is gone. I wish they all could be like Herb.

Gary Kelly is just another bean counter. Wait and see.

I think he's on to something. We all know EXACTLY how the next ten years will play out!

In the current enviroment at SWA, how long realistically would it take for a new hire to hold ATL or MCO as a domicile (reserve or line).
