The Documents
Hey there. Could someone possibly post all the documents you'll need when coming to interview. Though the window is closed, I anticipate the window will open again, maybe late this year, early next year, and I want to have the info done now. Sounds crazy but better being ahead as it does take time. I know things like Drivers license and criminal record have to be done later but I am more interested in the logbook/background info.
Thanks or any help
Oh and for what its worth, a SWA pilot told me that due to all the hiring going on in the industry, SWA will drop the requirement to have a 737 type. Now I know this is one guy but please don't shoot the messenger.

Last year the window opened in September and the first class started in December to hit the line around March.
The last AT conversion class starts in March so if there is a need for any new hires for next summer a mid/late March class or later is realistic.
Back the timeline up to account for processing apps and interviews and I'd be on the lookout for an app window around December.
Fwiw there are about 110 retirements between now and the end of next summer.

I received the good news from Southwest on July 23 (Most recent DB).
I did not have the 737 type rating at the time of my interview. I finished up my type just under 2 weeks ago. Three days after faxing in my temporary airman certificate, I got the official call and will be in the October 1 class in DAL. Despite the one month wait for the DB after the interview, it all happened very quickly for me.
Super stoked and grateful to have this opportunity!

Yep, there is, but they will all be coming from AirTran for the near future. Latest flight ops email blast said to expect hiring for the next few years, but the first new hire classes will start late summer of '15 after AirTran is done and the summer season is wrapping up.
