Word around the schoolhouse from the manager types is hiring is temporarily being shut down after the September new hire class. All further classes for this year will be transition. The two hull losses plus the mass influx of AirTran conversions equals a temporary halt until capacity equals demand, which will probably be spring of 2015.
Of course, the plan seems to change pretty regularly, so take that for what it is worth, but that seems to pass the smell test based on what we have seen/heard.

I am just a new hire, so take this for what it is worth, but I was told at the schoolhouse 2 more August classes and one September for three more total. The rest are transition. Interviews are done. Decision board is done. They generally don't call for classes until a few weeks prior and they are super busy right now with new classes starting every week or two weeks plus captain upgrade. Everyone that received a call from a chief pilot should get a class spot in one of those classes.
We are reaching the deadline for the AirTran partition to be done, so I would expect the bulk of the training capacity to be devoted to that. To say that the schoolhouse is busy right now is an understatement.
