You can drop whatever you want as long as someone picks it up....if not you call in sick or whatever.

You can work as little or as much as you want here. On rsv I've been crediting 105-120 trips a month as a commuter on 1st yr pay

19 nights in my bed in March, April still up in the air....lost a couple days off due to the monthly overlap. Should be home quite a bit more even on RSV once I get based at home this summer.

I am a lineholder now with weekend seniority and regularly credit 120 plus with two weekends off and 15-16 days off. That's without calling in sick.
Being a lineholder here is a HUGE QOL boost.

Thanks guys. Would reserve living in base be still a good QOL? Or is line holder just that much better?

Line holder you can swap trips around with open time pretty easily and also have the ability to pick up or drop trips on the trade board. Worst line I saw was 16 days off, RSV you get 15. Living in base I'll get more time at home on RSV since I won't have to spend time commuting and in a crashpad when I'm on call but not working.

Can you pickup and swap on rsv?

That was my question too, if you can fill your reserve foot print with open time trips.

You can't bid on trips on RSV. You can swap with another pilot on RSV if you want a certain day off and it works for both of you/legal, etc.

You can pick up open time trips or trips from the trade board on rsv also if you want and it's legal. Picking up out of open time on 1st yr pays at the 2nd yr rate.

So it sounds like it's in your favor to pick up trips while on reserve.
