So, if it's a 2 year wait for MCO, how did someone manage to get it awarded right out of training?

Sounds like a 2013 hire may have gotten it, so that's where the two year figure comes in. No new hire got it yet.

No one has managed to get it out of training. I'm an October 2015 hire and still 600 from MCO.

Also, what about the percentage is from pilots coming from other foreign carriers that are U.S. citizens getting in majors/lcc's?

Although I did see that the last class had 4 new hires assigned to BWI. So I'm still wondering how anyone gets assigned anything other than LAS, PHX, or OAK if those bases are most junior. Do you put in base requests while in class? I'll be hoping for BWI since I think it will provide the best commute for me.

You're right, I completely misread it as being a Dec. 2015 hire, instead of a 2013 hire. It makes sense now.

Everyone will bid in training for a temporary base for their first month after completing IOE, which is awarded in seniority order and can be any base in the system. After that, you will participate in the regular vacancy bids just like everyone else and will be awarded whatever base your seniority can hold. With so much hiring going on, potentially all the bases except for ATL, MCO, and DEN should be accessible to new hires. Good luck, glad to have you here.
