Southwest hiring info

Here are the graphs SWAPA published back in October. I think they were Aug through October info so it's a small sample and probably statistically insignificant but at least gives some idea of where people are coming from.

They don't really tell us anymore when the decision boards are held. I know they do them virtually now so they are held more often. There might be one this week between Christmas and New Years, but more likely not until next week after the holidays. Good luck, I hope you get the nod and can come back to the US if that's what you want to do.

The last job posting was open for 8 months. They took it down for about 2 weeks and just recently posted the new one about 2 weeks ago. With the company's stated hiring plan for 2016 at around 600 pilots, it should be open for quite a while.

Anyone out there who is interested in the MCO base with SWA, it was awarded to a Dec 2013 hire for February. Down to 2 years to get in to the base now and hopefully will continue to drop as more new hires come in throughout 2016.

Kind of surprised there were enough from a foreign military to even register on that pie chart. Anyone know what percentage of the pilot workforce at the majors/legacies are filled by non-citizens?
