Southwest hiring info

There are more than 3 in the Nov 18 class. In addition, many of the military pilots have regional experience too. About 1/3 do not have the type.
One solid fact is that a statement was made in class that a certain prep course has damaged some candidates because they can't evaluate the actual person's decision making process. They said they know right away because they have seen it so much in the interviews...
Just passing on the info.

I interviewed November 4th and we were told in the brief prior to the Interview we most likely would not know anything until after Thanksgiving. I imagine that what Decision Board an applicant is part of hinges on how quickly the background check can be completed. I have had volunteer work called for verification, but no personal references yet so I have to think the "bucket" is still being filled. Good Luck, Waiting is the hardest part!!!

I can concur that the 18 Nov class data. I'd say almost half are pure civ, between 1/3 and 1/2 have type, 2/3 to 3/4 have at least some 121/135 time. No females in this class (let the speculations begin). I can also confirm that Rocky Calkins (sp?) said in no uncertain terms that they want to see the real you, not the you that the prep company molded. I know a prior mil guy currently at a large regional that got the tbnt from SWA. He can be charming but I've seen him be less than friendly to people 'beneath' him too. I think the PD can sniff out that stuff. Rocky said that they can tell a prepped interview before you even start talking. Take it for what it's worth.
I used Rebekah Krone. She did an excellent job on three fronts. 1. She didn't 'prep' me. She described how the PD wants to see the real me. 2. She did a practice LOI with me. She used to work in the PD and I'd say that, having done the LOI, her training on it was pretty realistic. 3. She reviewed my paperwork. She had me tab things and annotate things in a certain way that the logbook reviewer and PD seemed to like. She went over all the paperwork to make sure that I had everything and that it was in the correct order. I know this seems silly and is a simple attention to detail thing, but I was able to walk into the interview that much more relaxed because I knew I wasn't going to take flack for the paperwork.
YMMV. PM me if u want more info.

Highly highly ironic that Rebekah Krone is doing interview preps now considering that she would specifically ask in the interview if you had done a prep. If you answered yes, you were basically done at that point. One of my friends had her years ago in an interview. Unfortunately, he was honest with Rebekah, and didn't get the job.
