Would anyone be willing to give me the quick synopsis on SWA Dental? I plan on keeping Tricare and declining the SWA medical (which I heard may yield a small kickback also?). Anyhow, to be honest, I don't know much about buying a dental plan since I've been using the standard United Concordia through the USAF. I was just wondering if SWA's is a good plan? Roughly how much does it cost? I'm pretty sure my kiddos will need braces, anyone gone through that with SWA dental?

The Mrs. is dropping some questions on me and I was hoping the Cavalry could help answer this one. Thanks for the inputs/advice everyone! Cheers.

Sorry, I had originally attached the swapa benefits guide, but then I realized that it had committee names and phone numbers on it.

Here is the company guide.

I use tricare for medical and use benefitsplus optional dental and vision. It's worth it for me because I have one fresh out of braces, two in them, and one to go. I also have three family members with glasses/contacts.

Lots of guys swear by the regular plan, and for good reason. It is a great deal. With our orthodontics and glasses right now, though, it just wouldn't work as well. If you just have one in braces and average medical expenses, I think the regular plan would be the best deal.

No sweat. To answer your questions above, SWA dental is through delta. Just about every provider takes it. It is a LOT better than tricare dental and pays a lot more for corrective procedures when needed.
My wife just had to get a really invasive root canal done at an endodontist. The bill came to over $1500, but we paid less than 200.
Braces are a great deal on the optional coverage and still a good deal on regular coverage. We pay around $80/mo for 24 mos for each kid and we go to an expensive orthodontist.
Take a look at the regular plan dental. It isn't bad considering the price ($0). It covers a lot of the same stuff, but the maximum coverage is a bit less. If you have a large and expensive family like me, it really isn't the best option, but I plan on converting to it after the kids leave the house.

It's good to hear that BWI is not super senior anymore. Much shorter commute for those living in the Northeast.

Would buying a $70 toiletry bag made from recycled seat leather help my chances of getting hired?

Will a catastrophic asteroid ever hit planet earth?! This question has been asked for years so I wouldn't plan on it going away.
