Not to 'poo-poo' those that have done or wish to do the Interview Prep companies (I didn't do them and was offered positions at both SW and JB) but when I went to the SW interview several of the interviewers definitely spoke down about those that do the prep (this was just last month). They said that they can tell who does it and who doesn't and that it forces them to 'break down' those that do so that they can see the 'real you'. They actually thanked me for just 'being me' and not doing the prep (LOL, they could tell) as that is what they were looking for.
Again, not my words or views, just what I was told. Personally, I just studied up on both companies and all the interview gouge websites that I knew of and felt pretty good about it going in. No surprises.

Interview prep is a tool. I would guess the percentage of those that have not used it could be counted on one hand. If you use the tool correctly you still get the real you. I hope you didn't read any gouge or study for any technical tests either, to avoid not getting the real you.

I myself didn't do interview prep (due to zero days off from invite to interview) and I got the CJO. I'm not trying to argue either. We are just trying to give future candidates the recent gouge.
I was asked during the interview..."You didn't do any prep did you?" Followed by a fist pump and an enthusiastic "Thank You". True story.
Again I am in no way saying guys/gals should not do prep. Myself and others are just giving the latest gouge from extremely recent and relevant experiences. And just trying to help all the others trying to get on.
Spooky
Edit*** If I had had any days off, I would have done prep.

I used Centerline. I got the job at SWA.
For the prep they emailed some info, gouges and said to think up 10-15 stories that revolved around leadership, strengths, weaknesses, etc.
Then we did a 3 hour video chat to go over what to expect and how to figure out what they're wanting from the questions asked so that I don't ramble or have any awkward silence while I think. Then the night before the interview we met up and went over any questions I had.
They don't tell you what to say or anything. Centerline's whole deal is to be genuine and how to express yourself in the stories you tell so they can meet the real you in the 30 min or so that you have.
They asked in my interview how I prepared and if I did prep. I said I did and the reason was that it seemed kinda silly to not do everything I possibly could to be 100% prepared when SWA was the place I wanted to work at for 20 years. I didn't get the impression that they were turned off by it. They agreed with me that it's a small price to pay to get your dream job.
Your mileage may vary. For me it worked. Not a necessity but it helped me be more comfortable and I got hired.

Wright going away has flipped Dallas on its head. Still a lot of senior guys there, but it has grown tremendously and junior guys have a good fighting chance there. Same thing with Houston. Both bases continue to grow with each bid.
