Can you elaborate on why Atlanta is senior and new hires usually don't go there? I've done some research on SW and know that new hires go to PHX and LAS a lot, but I thought ATL just opened up as a domicile for SW?
I live in Atlanta, and might be trying to get hired by SW. One option for me would be to commute from Atlanta...From what I've read on here, commuting for SW is not as brutal as the other airlines since you basically fly all the time on reserve.

. Junior bases as of this moment are OAK, PHX, LAS in that order. After that, who knows. Houston is sure to grow due to the opening of the international terminal and dallas still has some growing to do. MDW is operating at capacity. The east coast bases could grow, but they are pretty senior, especially ATL and MCO.

Does anyone wear the M&H uniform pants? If so, how do you wash them? They say dry clean only, but I don't know how you're supposed to afford dry cleaning on first year pay. Is it ok to toss them in the wash?

Just use as low a heat setting on the iron as possible and air dry them instead of throwing them in the dryer.
