I live in Atlanta, and might be trying to get hired by SW. One option for me would be to commute from Atlanta...From what I've read on here, commuting for SW is not as brutal as the other airlines since you basically fly all the time on reserve.
It is our most senior base. You won't see Atlanta as a new hire for a very, very long time. There are still lots of displaced AirTran peeps that would love to get back there. Junior bases as of this moment are OAK, PHX, LAS in that order. After that, who knows. Houston is sure to grow due to the opening of the international terminal and dallas still has some growing to do. MDW is operating at capacity. The east coast bases could grow, but they are pretty senior, especially ATL and MCO.

Looking at the December Vacancy award, one could argue that BWI and MDW were more junior than LAS.. No new hires in LAS yet new hires went to OAK PHX MDW BWI and HOU.

Company says that they expect to resume negotiations under the auspices of the national mediation board in the Spring of 2016.

Fret not. We are way understaffed on the FO side. It's extremely apparent that the company needs the codeshare relief language badly. You'll be just fine.

Does anyone wear the M&H uniform pants? If so, how do you wash them? They say dry clean only, but I don't know how you're supposed to afford dry cleaning on first year pay. Is it ok to toss them in the wash?

Go ahead and wash them... They'll be fine.

Just use as low a heat setting on the iron as possible and air dry them instead of throwing them in the dryer.
