Once you get an interview scheduled, SWAlife and/or hand delivered letters to chief pilots.

I hate this industry!!!

I recently attended OBAP and a very wise Pilot from a major called it 'Pilot Tax' you just gotta do it. You gotta put your face out there to differentiate yourself from the other apps.

In my humble opinion, SWA wants to weed out the entitled attitude because their strength is their culture.

Imagine being on a blind date and you had to decide if you were going to spend the next 25-30 years just from the info on that date.

Would you go by strictly her stats on paper or would a 5 minute conversation at Starbucks save you a ton of asspain?!

To put it in perspective: what if you heard this from a girl: "I've paid my dues on the daiting websites for ten years (never posted pics) and I never got a marriage proposal! But this other girl put it out there went on dates and is now in a serious relationship?!"

I know it sounds like tough love, but this is written for someone who is really interested in being part of a great culture and wants to contribute to the team everyday to keep it that way!

Good luck to anyone reading this...

The lost decade is OVER!!

I see what you're saying...but its not an entitlement attitude. It's just a "dafuq do I have to do now?" attitude. . Especially guys like me in their forties that have worked and worked and upgraded and got the PIC and standards captain and check airman....oh wait. Now you need to go to a job fair. but that's it! No more hoops! Until the next hoop comes out which usually rewards the less experienced. Peter Principle..

How do they rack and stack a class at SWA? Some airlines do it by SSN, some by reverse SSN, some by DOB. Just wondering...

Each class is straight DOB, oldest is most senior. Also, in case anyone is interested in the 3 bases not mentioned above here they are with junior FO hire date.

MDW - Oct 2014
MCO - Jan 2012
ATL - Oct 2007

Why is SWA data sync on pilot credentials currently disabled?

Also, when looking at the junior FO in each base keep in mind that the last new hire class prior to the current ones that just were awarded their first base today was Oct 2014.
