Under the Hiring Information tab on pilot credentials what is everyone doing for their three references? Should you just pick three people out of your letters of recommendations? Do they want them to be pilots as well or can they just be personal and/or professional references?

My three are all pilots I have known and have flown with previously. I'm planning on bringing 4 LORs or so from different people who have also flown with me and a few that are former supervisors as well.

I interviewed 21 July, refs called a week later, cjo on 6 August. Class date 14 October. That being said, everyone's experience seems to be different. Folks that interviewed a week before me, got cjo same day as me. Good luck all, GREAT experience!!

For those that have had references called did they call people from your letters or recommendation, from the 3 references that the Pilot Credentials website asks for, or both?

I have about 7 letters of rec from guys I have flown with, but have thought about putting a non-flying reference down for one of my 3 references that pilot credentials asks for in the Hiring Information section.

This seems to make sense. Oct Vacancy bid might shed a little light on things yet to transpire.

All that aside, congrats to those getting invites and CJO's!

I had three internals (listed on pilot credentials after interview invite) and three external (guys I worked for) that I listed as references on original pilot credentials page. They called the 3 internals and a guy that I had listed as my supervisor from my last military assignment. He was not one of my references...just listed on job history.

What did military guys do for the "PRIA Records Request and Reference Information" forms? It requests current flying supervisor for each duty station along with the record keeper. I don't know about everyone else, but my HARM records, training folders, and FEF were all given to me when I separated from the AF. I assume AFPC may have a copy? I don't even know where to begin to try and get contact information for that. Thoughts...

I'm curious as well, dealing with much the same thing. What day are you interviewing next week? I've got Wed AM.

No such thing as pria for the military. The only one you should have to fill out is if you worked at an airline post mil

Call Ronna or one of the other people in the PD. They are seriously there to help you through the process.
I think they still had us put the name of people that they can get in touch with that can vouch for you who supervised you in the squadron. The guy who called my references used that form.
Obviously, in the majority of those places, there won't be anyone still there who knew you, so if you have personal numbers of guys who were your supervisor in some form or fashion, put that down.
