Interesting. Only one week after the first. It'd be interesting to see how many are scheduled a month..

Any word yet on the next decision board? I interviewed towards the end of last month, and Rocky said he wasn't sure if we would make the July 1 decision board. I haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming at this point that my group was not part of the decision board last week.

What's interesting to me are these folks who get the good news call at random times of the month. What's up with that?

Maybe they were originally alternates then some of the primaries said no thanks to their class dates so they had to call some of the alternates to fill the classes? Just a thought, I don't have any first hand knowledge at all about it.

While jumpseating last week the conversation turned to hiring. It appears not everyone they invite to new hire ground school show up.

The only people not showing up are the few fortunate ones that have been hired by two major airlines. If hired now by both Southwest and either Delta, AA, United many will choose the latter based solely upon the upgrade time alone. 7-10 yrs max at the legacies vs. approximately 17 at Southwest. However, those are all just projections. They can and will change.

Upgrade time solely? I think true international flying opportunities in wide-bodies might have something to do with it as well, plus a better retirement.

What do you mean "posted internally?"
