... and I hate to wait!!!

Thanks to everyone who replied. I didn't think that it qualified, but I didn't want to not mark something that I was qualified for! Yes, I was a USAF IP for SUPT, but not a SEFE. My numbers are good, so I'm just trying to be patient and wait for the invite ....

Do you have the type?
Has anyone been invited without it yet?

For those interested, FTI in Denver has a special right now *choke* *cough* that I'm taking them up on. The special still hurts even with serious lube but it's an 8-day deal with a lot of home study via CBT on an ipad. They use the UAL training center/sims. Probably the cheapest type rating you can buy. I wish it was for a B-25...but no.

Does anybody else have an opinion on if the job fair does anything to get an interview or enhance an application? Obviously, it cannot hurt, but it is worth the time and money to speak to them or do they not even know you were there after you leave?

Am I the only guy against getting the type rating? Personally I can't even entertain the idea as going out and getting a 737 type would be a huge red flag to my employer. I am sure they would start looking for a replacement when I submit my new certificate.
I can see that when flying for a regional it doesn't matter to your employer, but as a professional I can't understand spending the money and time on a type. I would rather be hired on my qualifications and experience as a pilot, anybody can buy the type. Maybe I am being short sighted?
