Thanks guys for the info on the age thing.

Thanks again.

That would be a tall order... 300-400 interviews in a single month. So my statement my not be correct.

Date and time of interview. They interview two groups of around 6 each a day. So around 250 a month if they interview every day through the entire month. My guess is they will just keep running interviews until they are done (if they get done). Looks like initially there will be a pool and then they are going to start classes with no real end in sight right now.
FWIW they just hired a whole new batch of check airmen (got this info from a check airman who was on the hiring board). He also said to watch for unannounced fleet growth due to lease purchases and extending some classics that were slated for retirement. Not holding my breath, but it was a glimmer of positivity in our otherwise flat fleet news and would explain some of the hiring.

Anyone hear anything yet? I'm guessing the 737 type will still be the deciding factor (which is bad for me).

From what I know, interviews are in May and classes in September.
I would expect invites to go out the second half of April.

Who thinks they received 300 qualified applicants who have a 737 type and who thinks that if given the option to hire everyone that already has the type they will?

A friend was in a new hire class of 6 last spring. 4 of the 6 DID NOT have the type (or even have it scheduled yet) during the interview. Could be an outlier, but they're probably looking for quality good dudes.

I know it says 2500 Total or 1500 Turbine, but has anyone ever heard of someone getting picked up with less than 2500 Total time who is not a fighter guy?

I'm prior heavy military sitting at 2300 TT and 1700 TPIC with the 737-type. Just wondering if that might be competitive or a pipe dream?

I assume they got 6000 applications. If only ten percent have the type it's still 600 guys...

What I would be very interested in hearing about is if they actually run someone through long term training as a token no-type new hire.

Does anyone have inside info as to ratio of interviews to job offers?
