Default Southwest Heritage

Now that the airline is a combination of quite a few others, I thought we could celebrate its heritage!

Lmao. Well, that certainly was the case back then, but I think we were down to about 30 of them out of 1737 pilots before the SWA "thing".

That's a fraction of what's left at Continental, an ALPA represented Line...sometimes the world isnt's as pretty as we'd like it to be. In no way am a condoning/excusing scabs.

Continental, not ALPA, hired those scabs during a strike - those scabs kept their jobs.

Valujet/Airtran hired dozens of known scabs during a normal growth cycle.

That speaks volumes imo.

-Full disclosure- WN currently has 3 known scabs who slipped through the cracks. A far cry from knowingly shaking hands with dozens and welcoming them in through the front door.

VJ/AAI was STARTED by scabs in case you weren't aware. Because of that I think people have this impression that the airline is riddled with them. Most people are suprised to hear that we only have about 30 left. I'm in no way condoning their actions nor am I gloating by stating that we only have that many left.

Hey, since it came up, can anyone tell me why the NFL replacement refs aren't being referred to as scabs in ANY of the media? ESPN, SI, etc..

4th Level...are those just EAL or all airlines? Freedom, GoJets, etc...

....total scabs. It makes no difference where they came from, a scab is a scab.
