The question still remains

Keep in mind it is SOUTHWEST MANAGEMENT that represented WN pilots, It was ALPA that represented FL pilots. Each union must represent their respective pilot group with those interests in mind. That is what unions are supposed to do.
However, very soon FL pilots will be WN pilots, represented by SWAPA and they will be represented as such, No Different. That is the reality.
Whether or not people choose to believe this, is their own decision.

I know for a fact you have a number of new AirTran 737-700s flying around system in the WN scheme flown by WN pilots, not AirTran. They were delivered over the past few months. They carry the -7BD or -76N on the registration certificate vs. 7H4. WN changed the tail numbers to be WN tail numbers.
When SWA was negotiating the AirTran acquisition with AirTran management, SWA deferred aircraft deliveries because of AirTran's large number of unfunded aircraft orders. SWA could't defer AirTran orders before they were acquired.
