True dat, the Alaska pay is better. Of course their scope is not. Both have been in business for a long time.
SWA and FL are indeed very similar companies, except for the ages of our two groups and the value of a career at our respective places. When you retire from SWA (assuming you are not 62) you will have earned more money and have had more days off than at FL, no matter where you currently reside on your own list.

So basically you have no protection from the company doing a codeshare with Volaris or AeroMexico? They don't fly regionals trans-border.

No, I can honestly admit that from a flight operations standpoint, SWA and ATN are equals....and that's where the equality ends. I know that in ALPA's world, it's all about the equipment. But this is not an ALPA merger.

Oops, sorry I didn't see the previous post.

I'll bet you guys can't wait to hear the explanation of how some of our finest reset every hotel clock radio to Herb Time.
The Gulf Air 767-300ERs Delta grabbed evidently, had the screws to hold the compass that pointed to Mecca.

Does yours point to KLUV or just to Herb?

We don't have anything that points to ATL except the airplanes, we make everyone fly through ATL.

Not just in ALPA's world but in the real world too. That's why you WON'T go to arbitration.

SWA New Hire Indoc

First, the Captain flashes the big watch and tells him, Herb time...

New kid doesn't get it.

So Captain pulls out the map, shows him Dallas, then shows him LUV field. It's the center of your new universe kid.

Then Captain shows him MCO ATC, and tells him, "we own this."

Kid laughs. Because he knows it's true.

Last edited by forgot to bid; 10-26-2011 at 10:23 AM. Reason: added ATC to MCO
