The question still remains

Not entirely. The question remains WHY SWA wants to avoid a "fair and equitable" SLI that would result from arbitration? If the reason is that SWAPA would appeal any other SLI other than DOH then the SWA pilots are not "innocent" of the strong arm tactics of GK that many on here are using as an excuse.

On the contrary, I'd say their upgrade prospects improved dramatically and at the expense of Airtran pilots, many of whom will now have to commute from their homes in ATL.

I read that, and the first time I thought maybe you were drunk or hung over when you wrote it. But in the re-read, it all became even more clear. You ARE scared of a fair solution, so you let Carl Icahn do your bidding for you. Truly pathetic. Enjoy your upgrade, or increase in seniority if you have already reached the pinnacle. And be sure to send GK a bottle of scotch too... he's earned at least that. So since you have answered THAT question, why don't you tell us all why you didn't extract any contract/pay improvements for your "help" in the merger? I'll help you get started... you didn't need to get any, because GK told you you would see a rapid increase in seniority and seat progression. Therefore, SWAPA was complicit in the burglary. That or you have the perfect contract... yeah, THAT must be it.. you have the perfect contract.

Afraid was the wrong word. That is a word you need to use when talking about your desires for a fair arbitrated SLI. No.. concern was a better word wrt your entrance into ATL. But DAL has held it's own everywhere we have competed with you (SLC/MSP and others) and we will compete with you in ATL. You are gonna have to raise prices, and that is good for everybody.

Yes we would like to get a "fair and equitable" list from arbitration just like LCC got.
Both sides really aren't that fired up about this(pilots). Good for SWA and industry but not so much for employees.
Did I mention Comair.
