The integration resulted in almost exclusively TWA pilots being furloughed and downgraded (a couple nAAtives were furloughed).

All things considered, what the AA pilots did to the TWA pilots is much better than what Southwest has done to ANY pilot group they've acquired.
Ok. But, just because ts doesn't mention MB, does not mean that it is not relevant to his post. That's why I used it.

Look at how each of these groups were integrated. Look @ how the Frontier pilots were going to be treated.

A pariah? Hah! If SWAPA and their pilots aren't already a pariah now after stapling or refusing to even integrate 1,000's of pilots employed with airlines their company voluntarily acquired, what makes you think they will be a pariah now after a couple thousand more pilots get 'welcomed' to Southwest?

Are the AA pilots pariahs b/c of the way they treated the TWA pilots?
Good point. The only relevant difference that I can see now is that SWA is desperate for growth. The low hanging fruit and organic growth in the numbers they are used to is gone. They have not the cost advantage that they have always had. Therefore, Muse and Morris could take it in the shorts with a smile because they KNEW that they would be SWA captains making tons of money in a relatively short time. ATI.. not so much. These guys are not only gonna LOSE their currently occupied CAPTAIN's seats, it is gonna take a long time to get 'em back. They are not blind.

As far as AA and the treatment of TWA, I do not think they will be able to pull that off again in the event their health recovers to the point they are able to buy/merge with another carrier. Fool me once...

What part are you not getting. If this passes there will be no arbitrated list. The agreement that you keep referring to is the process agreement I can only assume, and that document had a time frame for a negotiated settlement which is where we currently are. If you feel there shouldn't have been a portion of time set aside for negotiations, you should have spoken to your Reps and told them so. Oh wait a minute, you don't work for either group that is being represented in this case so that opinion has little relevance to the parties involved in this matter. The agreement has in fact been followed. All parties involved will get a vote on this proposal in compliance with agreed language of the process agreement.

I guess the part I'm not getting is what happens if it doesn't pass and there is no negotiated settlement.......

Why don't you hold on until November and we can all see how it plays out in real life instead of endless speculation about fictitious misdeeds that haven't occurred yet.

Arbitration used to be binding, now, you just don't vote in the contract.
