Cool At least we have culture to look forward to

Cause that's about all there is. I move up a few numbers but can't use it. And the B scale is back. I'm sure some AA guys remember that.

But don't worry because I'll be laughing my ass off when Section 6 time rolls around and payback comes due. I think I'll go watch "The Godfather" again so I know how all this turns out.

BTW, you SW guys can stop giving us the cold shoulder. You've won so at least act like you've been here before.

I've been trying to chat with every AirTran guy that I pass in the airport.

I've gotten ZERO information on what the agreement contains. If you've got a summary then please post it or PM it to me.

You're right about the section 6. Gonna be interesting this time around with you guys on board.

No summary yet but people in the know are leaking this info out, probably to avoid any really ugly moments if it were to all come out at once.

All I can say with certainty is that it will take a long time to ever trust or respect SW management. Of course, from what I'm told we have years to get used to the new boss (same as the old boss.)

This has been a very queer "negotiation", to say the least.

True. It's also very difficult to trust the little chubby kids who took swipes at you while hiding behind Daddies legs.

For the record, I never trusted you. And don't worry, you'll grow into that weight.

You are talking about Daddy ALPA, right?

Ohhh, I get it, you just realized your dad can't actually beat up my dad

OK, back to being serious. That was a stupid characterization RCD. And if you want to continue to use school yard analogies, I'll continue to answer with schoolyard analogies.

I have been as accomodating and as cordial as possible to every AT pilot/employee I've met.

Went out of my way to hang out with some of the AT ground ops folks in MCO last week. They seemed like awesome people that are going to be an asset to our continued collective prosperity.

By all means please exercise your right to vote "NO", I know I will if it does not meet my expectations or needs.

Please vote no. Maybe the boss will shift the furloughs back to the SW side.

Our option is to vote "yes" or vote "fired". Whatever happened to, "There is no plan B" ? At least with the old management you expected lies and deceit.

All negotiations are about power, it always has been that way and it always will be that way. If you honestly believe that ALPA would not exhaust every ounce of power they have in any given situation you simply aren't being honest with yourself. SWA is driving the bus currently and they can and will do everything they can to achieve the outcome they are looking for. If you had an illusion that SWA was not a ruthless negotiator you were incorrect.

I think all the SWAPA guys have more than once said on this board that you don't really want to mess with the company. They've always been very tough negotiators. It's not an end to their culture, that IS their culture and always has been. Herb wasn't a push over.

It's kinda like the way they say at Disney, "Don't F*^K with the mouse."

Doesn't mean that I still don't love the little mermaid.
