Respectfully disagree. The UPS guy had an agenda and arrogantly went after anyone he did not like.

Finally, someone figured out that page clicks pay the bills ... thus out of economic interest the L&G thread was allowed to thrive.

If you feel a post is inappropriate I ask that you report it. There is a wide demographic of moderators on this board, including pilots from DAL/UAL, Regional, Corporate, Fed Ex, & the FAA.

Lately, I've seen a lot of complaining and very little post reporting. Now I will not guarantee that if a post is reported, action will be taken. BUT, it will be reviewed. It's much easier for us a mods to review reported posts rather then entire threads.

He's here mostly to make sure the pictures we post are aviation related and not just gratuitous nudity.

Look at the size of the watch on that pilot.!! Southwest? Nah. Can't be. Its an Airbus.
Is that a DPA tat on her shoulder?

Perhaps you can enlighten me the exact steps you took so the Delta culture that I have heard many speak about would live on and not be destroyed. Oh wait a minute you weren't successful on that front. Don't count us out just yet.

I get it... you will fare much better just because you are SWA. Cram it down their throats, I'm sure they will come around in 15-20 years.. no problem.

That would be me. Don't like being called lapdogs? Get a payraise and work rule improvements out of the merger instead of focusing on how superior you are to the AT guys.

Until then, I stand by my point.

I will also continue to mod fairly.

The fabled "Delta culture" was mostly nuked by the greedy execs of 10-15 years past.

There are still remnants of it left and most of that was preserved through the merger, but not all. NW had some good things as well, though. A merger (acquisition) is an assimilation of 2 cultures, no matter how you look at it. You will pick up some good things from both as well as some bad things.

You are a great moderator. Especially, since I have never seen you eliminating or delete anything.

Wait, now that I think about it, I think I even remember you getting one of my post restored.

Just because I am a mod doesn't mean I can't express my opinion (or FACTS as per some posters around here) on something.

Relax and enjoy your paid for type rating in that junky plane that I have one trip left on. I'm going to be sitting in the right seat of that Airbus with big watch lady posted earlier.

Well, kind of... I'm going to have to turn in my man card for this, but that's an A330 and I'm going to the 320. Same difference?
80nuts,

So I fly a junky plane that I had to pay for my type rating on. I can live knowing what a horrible thing I have done.

I do wonder if it isn't really about the money. Later on in this thread you keep insinuating that somehow SWAPA folks should have asked for more money during the current negotiations with AT. We are under a contract that is amendable next year and I believe we are compensated just fine. We will look at improvements next year. Thanks for your concern.

I have a question for you. You say you were offered a job at SWA. Did you have a type rating when that offer was tendered? Also another question. According to the info here on APC you created a training event for DAL to downgrade to the airbus (monetarily). Is that true? Just asking. I am trying to understand how DAL justifies that training event.

Sincerely,

Your Friend, the Oscar
