Actually, I don't believe that to be quite true. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you both have a joint contract prior to seniority list talks? I can only assume that management was involved in the monetary portions of THOSE talks, pay rates for airframes not currently on property and necessary other housekeeping chores to join two contracts into one. Then they let you hash out the seniority list yourselves. This is a different situation completely because there is not currently a joint contract between our two groups. Management has a vested interest in this process because at this point no one can make any deals concerning the financials without their presence.

When I first started coming to airlinepilotcentral over four years ago, the moderators were MUCH more active and, shall we say, Moderate on the issues.
It was a much nicer and more professional place then.

All I have ever really seen them do on here is:
1.) Remove porn (underboob maybe)
2.) Squash political discussion, &
3.) Keep the threads on topic.
Most of the time I forget who they are.

......Relax and enjoy your paid for type rating in that junky plane that I have one trip left on. I'm going to be sitting in the right seat of that Airbus with big watch lady posted earlier.
Well, kind of... I'm going to have to turn in my man card for this, but that's an A330 and I'm going to the 320. Same difference?

Well, since one specific "moderator" is fond of calling SWAPA pilots "lapdogs"...
Or now I guess he's gonna throw out the "hater" word.
I just don't really think that's conducive to keeping civil dialogue.

For the record, I have not called you lap dogs, I am just spelling out exactly where I think this industry went and why. No hate or jealously in that. We are where we are, and the only way for this collective profession to move forward is to start rowing together, no to try to make a carve out that helps a few but harms the rest.
