Relevance of 717 to SWA continues to diminish

SWA management IS NOT doing the SLI bidding for SWAPA. SWA management is doing the SLI bidding for SWA. They want both pilot groups to know that, ultimately, they are in charge. I know it's hard for the outside observers to believe, but the SWAPA NC has not worked with SWA management on either proposal.

Not to be a spelling nazi, but how many times have you been corrected on the spelling of icahn's name? (Intentionally not capitalized). I have held my tongue on this until you addressed me directly.
Thanks for the comparison. Now, tell me, what negative impact did icahn and lorenzo have on Delta pilots? United pilots? American pilots?
I think it's also been pointed by others that icahn is not a valid comparison. There are more similarities to lorenzo, except that the pilots are being offered pay raises.

The comparison will come out in the end. I have said, if I am wrong, I'll eat crow, but if I am right, there will be a lot of vacancy on this board because the defenders will disappear...

That is a ridiculous argument.

I wonder, what do you think the motivation is for SWA to offer these types of proposals? Helping the SWA pilots out is good business, you guys have constantly allowed them to increase productivity, and have helped them be able to undercut other airlines and pilot groups, of course they want you on their side. (I mean this in the nicest way possible, because if they really are doing you bidding, you need to really look at their motivation)

Andy;
Wrt to the DAL SLI, those pilots that were hired after the constructive notice of the merger were stapled in DOH order to the bottom of the list. If you look at our arbitrated list, those bottom pilots were pre-merger DAL pilots.

You and tsquare are playing fast and loose with the word 'staple'. If you're about what happened to the Morris pilots or the TWA flight attendants, it's the correct word to use. But to try to apply the word to a small group of one airline's employees is rediculous.

You were also allowed to be a wholly owned subsidiary of a company by the union's scope. Are you really going open up SWAPA's scope to let the camel's nose in the tent and allow 115-124 seat aircraft be outsourced??
Coming from someone who's predecessors allowed just turboprop and 50 seaters to be outsourced, I don't think you want to venture down that road just for a seniority grab...

Called it whatever you want, they were "slotted in via DOH" after all of the other methodology used.

This used to be such a great board.

If that's not what it was for, we'd love to here your rationalization of what you thought it was for.
