SWA-Airtran merger good for RAH - frontier
#6
RAH/F9 needs to open another hub if they want to compete. DEN is a good one, MKE has promise to be a good focus city if they really hit the northern Chicago market as well as WI. But the airline needs to either expand MCI or create another focus city if they wish to compete.

That sums up my thoughts. They will fly wherever they can make money regardless of what is 2 hours away. If they can fill up flights from MKE with people from there to x number of cities, then they will do it.
I really do not know how RAH is going to compete against them in MKE, and against both SWA and United in DEN. They are not a whole different animal.

Yeah, and they would never have a big operation in PHL with BWI only a 2-3 hour drive away...

I have heard that UAL is going to pull down DEN a bit after the merger. Like Is id, we need another hub. Just hang on for a few years so I can get out.
