I personally think what SWA wanted out of the whole deal was 32 gates in ATL and the international flights. True SWA needs an improved and proably new and updated reservations system and the FL Navitar (sp?) is not what they need. SWA does not plan on making any changes to their current culture. SWA has been a very profitable airline where the legacy carriers have not been. They needed ATL to complete the map of the east coast. Don't we all wish we had a crystal ball and knew what was being planned?

Some of these SWA guys are going to have a rude awakening. SWAPA is doing them no favors.

Oh, Delta absolutely purchased NWA. Do some research on the matter, you'll see. Not that it makes any difference to an arbitrator, or anyone else besides swapa for that matter.

Funny I wonder if that is what the Transtar guys thought!? That they would get an list that was enforced.... I don't care one way or another I'm not a player in this fight. It could go hundreds of ways. But the facts are facts. It is an ACQUISITION, not a merger (yes they will integrate the operation somehow) you know the diff right merging or integrating the operation is a whole lot different than one company buying out another one. An just wondering why the name calling or was it a spelling oops. no need to get spooled up just talking out loud. exchanging thoughts....relax man its going to be a few months till the end

On a side note if you are a 717 capt and you had a choice would you pick SWA or delta...to work for?!

as an outsider if it is supposed to be fair AND equitable I see the Air tran guys getting ALL the equity... the sw guys get NOTHING money wise so one could argue that they would get the Fair side of the coin..

Fixed. I hope the crap ALPA is feeding you includes the history of Transtar pilots and what happened when they got too greedy.

Indeed they are. Here's some of the history;

TranStar occurred before McCaskill-Bond and Public law 110-161 (Allegheny - Mohawk) 2007.

Happy now ?

Right now, today, SWA management is free to run AT however they choose.

Every month is $5K...
