SWAPA Election

SWAPA Election
We have two good choices and so far I'm leaning towards JR, but I'm interested in hearing what everyone else thinks. It would be nice to see some budgetary constraints, but I don't think that is in the cards with the current SWA management and Elliot lurking in the shadows.

I would highly recommend that you listen to Eliott's podcast. The first of many leading up to Dec 10th. I think you may change your mind about "budgetary constraints". SWAPA is about to get in the cross hairs of a corporate fight. Something that Elliott hasn't done since 2017. Unfortunately employees will be the ones that feel it the most. The new management team will definitely test SWAPA's CBA and will try to alter it.

if finances are so critical, why are we thinking of moving headquarters? A vote yes on our budget and move rewards bad behavior of past boards failing to protect a SWAPA asset.
consider me incredibly unimpressed with SWAPA post-CBA. I’m not voting for either of them.
Talking a big game only to crumple like a cheap suit is a pretty easy pair of shoes for just about anyone to fill. See: SL1, Ops Day scheduling shenanigans, giving a pass on missed implementation schedules while the company weaponizes our all new airtight contract language to drain our sick banks, cozying up to EIM…etc etc etc

its 6 one, half a dozen the other. Both long time swapa insiders.

I don't know MS too well, but Jody is rock solid in my book. Any man who makes Gary Kelly refuse to attend meetings in his presence is worth considering. Yeah, he is a swapa insider at this point, but he is blunt, honest, and doesn't pull punches.

I heard other SWAPA folks say he's a loud mouth. When I watched him during the road shows he was quick to put anyone down who brought up the medical protections about the mandatory Covid Shots, so it's his opinion or else is what I got from that, but then again SWAPA did not offer anyone who did not want the shot any help either, besides saying they were Pro Choice and that you had a choice, some choice? When I called my rep about the shot, he said he did not understand what all the fuss was about, he got it, that's true leadership right there. Thinking I'll hold on to my vote on this one.
