Southwest has lots of bad karma to reap. Nothing personal of course. Just a shark on a wall.

They could cut 10 percent of HQ tomarrow and no one would notice.. Even the parking lot would have the same amount of vehicles.

Sounds like CA P2P flying has not recovered or met their expectations. We do a ton of interstate flying in CA with no connectivity at all. The fact they brought it up tells you that’s definitely changing.
Rumors are running that they may close ATL as a base. We’ll see.
AW also said they plan on taking five minutes out of the turn is very telling about the fleet going forward. I don’t know what that equates to as far as creating more aircraft to fly from the existing fleet but it’s big. Maybe the studies they have been talking about actually create a faster turn with assigned seating. If they do more a hub and spoke style, that may bring down cycles on some of these birds which they can hold on to longer. Not as much capex spend which I still think is going to happen as far as order book from Boeing. Deferring airplanes for a later date.
Booking window only goes to April, so I assume that’s when they’ll go assigned seating. With premium leg room coming along as the planes get converted. I’ll throw in POS finally getting turned on as well much discussion on code sharing. BJ and AW are tied to hip together. If BJ loses his job, so does AW. Any new CEO will definitely bring in their own people.
Either way, get ready for the suck.
