when this came out people told Bob that it will disrupt travel.for non revs trying to get to work. His response was they should be able to take the last flight because those people moved to the earlier ones.

This is the kind of crap that makes me wonder if a) this is incompetence at the highest levels, or b) deliberate sabotage of our airline. No one with half of sense for our business would ever come up with something like this...

The folks in Dallas are definitely out of touch and it's no suprise they created the opportunity for even more people to scam the system. Between the Jetway Jesus's and now the SDSS (Same Day Standby Scammers), I would be ****ed if I was loyal A-lister.
I also just noticed that the VP's in Dallas came up with the idea to install audio announcements in our jet bridges as part of their transformational change. Great. Now the Ops Agent can yell loudly at everyone while they are standing in line in our jet bridge. I am so embarrassed when I hear the way some of our Ops Agents yell at passengers in their announcements. It's disgusting the way they sometimes treat our paying customers.
I also just noticed that the VP's in Dallas came up with the idea to install audio announcements in our jet bridges as part of their transformational change. Great. Now the Ops Agent can yell loudly at everyone while they are standing in line in our jet bridge. The free standby deal is just another version of the scam that gets employees fired if they do it themselves, by buying a ticket to hold a seat then also listing nonrev.
Buying a seat then flying nonrev on the same pairing on the same day will get you fired. But now everyone can do it, you just don't get to re-use the purchased ticket. But it's still a scam because they're trading the cheap ticket for a seat on a more desirable (more expensive) flight. Very very close to the stuff that would get employees fired.

just rode in the back and the FAs showed 10 min late from an overnight, not saying their fault, but then the started berating the pax to hurry up cause we gonna be late. Even went as far as calling out individuals over the PA and mocking them for not finding a seat, stowing a bag etc.
