I was sitting on my deck…no noise at all. Phone on speaker…got the “sorry, don’t recognize that” 3x with no ambient noise other than a very light breeze. So stupid.

I just mute my phone until somebody gets on the line. It shouldn't be this difficult to reach scheduling or payroll, but I find it's the only way I can get through to somebody without me wanting to spike my phone into the terminal floor.

Former UAL. I agree with the above statement but in stronger terms.

Back in the early 2010's our company instituted a new phone system that asked for voice prompts, of course making a call in a loud busy airline terminal was almost impossible, luckily that system went away very quickly.

I would DEFINITELY operate with that assumption in mind.

Whose bright friggin idea was to implement the new phone tree? If you're gonna do something like this, first and foremost, PLEASE HAVE A ******* CLUE!!! How much money did that cost? What VP authorized this abortion? GONE! FIRED! If it's LK, he's another clown that needs to follow BW wherever the hell he went to...

I'm seriously sick and tired of idiots pi$$ing around marking their territory for the sake of marking their territory.

Call the direct number. Enter employee number. Choose your option (usually 3). Done. No voice commands or menus to click through.
