Maybe it’s no longer happening but I’ve seen it myself over the years. Cutoff in LAS when Southwest never replied to numerous calls from ATC to give way. Always asking for a direct with ATC no matter how busy the controller is at the time. Watching several land on 24R at LAX with max breaking to make the reverse high speed to save :30. The reputation wasn’t given out of thin air.

Less so. And the lollygagging to an impatient SWA pilot is safe general operating practice. Not implying everyone at Southwest is this way, but it’s a thing. Just trying to establish if that culture is an intentional pace and cadence. Arguing with ATC about being rushed is more valid than arguing about having to fly published route, allowing for spacing, or trying to avoid waiting your turn. Nothing personal and trying to keep the temperature down. This is just banter based on shared experiences.
