DAL Base
Howdy y'all,
I live in DAL, October 2023 hire, and obviously want DAL as my base but with the hiring freeze, it seems like it'll be a while.
With the vacancy numbers a few days ago, my original thought of getting DAL by September 2024 seems like it is going to be much, much longer.
I'm guessing it would be realistic to say DAL won't be in the cards until maybe mid-late 2025? Any opinions on this guestimate?

Upgrades without new hires means that FO categories are reduced. If there is a secondary vacancy, it's is almost always taken by a senior FO.
The last vacancy and subsequent result shows exactly how this scenario plays out.

There are always senior players who bid in and out, which opens up room at the bottom nearly every bid period. Bid what you actually want and be prepared to be surprised by an award you "aren't senior enough" to expect to get.
