Furlough rumors?
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Hearing through the grapevine that the company and union are in talks of furloughing between 1400-1600 pilots in the coming weeks/months.
Anyone have anything to substantiate or debunk these rumors?

edit; just realizing APC calls comments “posts” and posts “threads”. So I guess that makes me a liar. Should have said this is my first “thread”

what grapevine? Other pilots, some FA’s? Pretty sure the union came out and said in multiple forms of communication that furlough wasn’t on the table. Plus, it just doesn’t make any sense; furlough is more of a long term thing to make it financially sound to drop that nuke on the pilot group. Not buying it, hope I’m right.

Way to troll.
Nope. Not even close. Addressed by SWAPA and the company already.
The company isn’t even interested in giving out long term LOA’s or early-outs. Hell… they didn’t even want us going out of currency in their VPTO proposal. Gee… wonder why?
But….. one group that should worry about layoffs are the GO dwellers if Elliott gets their way. That just might mean you… 😜

Hence why I’m asking all of the people here who seem to be more well connected than me.
I come from 135, so this is my first airline. Furlough stuff is all new to me.
